Terms of Service

By creating an account or using TeoLearn you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must read and accept these terms with you, and by using TeoLearn you confirm they have. If you are under 13, you may not use TeoLearn at all.

TeoLearn generates courses, lessons and questions using artificial intelligence, and adapts what it teaches based on how you answer. It is a study tool.

This is the most important thing on this page. TeoLearn's lessons, explanations, answers and marking are generated by AI and can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or confidently wrong. AI systems produce plausible-sounding errors — that is a known property of the technology, not an occasional fault.

You are responsible for verifying anything that matters before you rely on it, especially for exams, coursework, professional decisions, or anything with real consequences. TeoLearn's assessment of your understanding is an estimate produced by software, not a measurement, and it is not evidence of competence to any third party.

We give no warranty that the content is accurate, complete, suitable for your purpose, or that using TeoLearn will produce any particular learning outcome, grade, qualification or job.

Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You agree not to misuse TeoLearn — including attempting to extract the underlying models, overwhelming the service, uploading unlawful material, infringing others' rights, or using it to generate content that harms other people.

You keep ownership of what you upload and write. You give us permission to store and process it so we can provide the service and carry out the research described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

TeoLearn is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content or your data will never be lost. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we are in early access, so features may change or be withdrawn.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions and terms implied by statute or common law, including satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost opportunity, lost data, exam or assessment results, academic outcomes, or loss of employment prospects;
• we are not liable for any decision you or anyone else takes in reliance on AI-generated content, including study decisions, academic submissions, and hiring decisions made by an employer using our assessment features;
• our total liability to you, for all claims combined, is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₦20,000.

If you use TeoLearn in breach of these terms and that causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result — for example if you upload material you had no right to upload, or misuse the service to harm someone.

This does not apply to anything caused by our own breach or negligence, and does not apply where you are acting as a consumer outside any trade or profession.

New accounts receive a one-off allowance of free credit. Credit is consumed when you talk to Teo and when Lab and Memory Lab questions are written for you; reading lessons, creating courses and taking quizzes do not consume it. Free credit has no cash value, is not transferable, and cannot be refunded.

Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Except where the law gives you a refund right, payments already made are not refundable. Prices may change on notice.

Where TeoLearn generates an assessment for an employer's job posting, we provide the tool; we do not recruit, we do not evaluate you for employment, and we do not make or influence hiring decisions. The employer decides who to hire and is responsible for that decision and for complying with employment and equality law.

We do not warrant that using these features will result in an interview, an offer, or employment of any kind.

You can stop using TeoLearn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service. Sections 3, 5, 6, 7 and 11 survive termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules in your own country, and you may be able to bring proceedings there.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use TeoLearn afterwards means you accept the updated version.
